Meliorant from sapropel was produced by UAB "GJ Magma". Rimvydas Vaštakas, a senior researcher at
UAB GJ Magma, presented, consulted and discussed the findings with Spanish consumers.

Community members discussed laboratory field trials with meliorant from sapropel  which were issued in  2018 issue by the Lithuanian Center for Agrarian and Forest Sciences (LAMMC) laboratory field
in the discussion club. (link)
The conclusion is that it is expedient to repeat the conducted tests in the field of sandy soil in Lithuania or on sandy soil in the arid climate zone. LLU professor Ina Alsina's team of scientists see perspectives based on real scientific methods for sapropel uptake.

The conclusion: sapropel is a promising material for creating fertile agronomic properties in soil, which is not suitable for plant vegetation. Consultations with specialists of the Latvian University of Agriculture are planned.

Community members create an innovative technologies for use of sapropel

Group of Lithuanian scientists have created and patented innovative technologies for use of organic lakes sediments – sapropel – for creation of fertile soil in desert, and recreation of agronomic soil properties in degraded soil. Using this technologies in desert sand  yield was the same  like in Nile delta. Effect of technologies was tested in Egypt, UAE, Bahrain. You can find presentation here.

April 2017
New technology of  sapropel proccessing is created

Community members developed, produced and tested in practice (in Latvia) protopype of industrial technological equipment for dewatering of natural sapropel. Water content from existing 95% decreasded to 55-60 % in natural sapropel. Such moisture sapropel is suitable for use as ameliorant, which creates agronomic properties of fertile soil.
Author of patented technology is community member P.Steponavičius.
